About the exhibition
The Christian Stein Gallery in Milan hosts, simultaneously in both of its exhibition venues, an exhibition by Michelangelo Pistoletto. The first group of works exhibited in the spaces of Pero consists of some Quadri Specchianti, the works that in the early 1960s determined the artist’s international success and which form the basis of his subsequent artistic research and parallel theoretical reflection. The second group of historical works on display in the Pero headquarters is made up of some of the Oggetti in meno, made and exhibited by Pistoletto in his studio between 1965 and 1966. These are works based on the contingent dimension of time that shattered the dogma of the uniformity of the individual artistic style.
